IDEA communication leading delegate to visit B2B enterprises in the Great Bay Area.

12, March 2025, Singapore – This week, a corporate delegate led by Helena Ma, Managing Director of IDEA communication, embarked on visits to both listed and private enterprises in Foshan, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen, including Guangdong Shenling Thermal Tech, Ninestar, XPeng Huitian (AeroHT), Huawei, and Tencent. These engagements provided deep insights into how major Chinese companies are navigating U.S. sanctions and global economic uncertainties while carving out new avenues for growth and innovation.

Within the macroeconomic landscape, the effects of U.S. sanctions and tariffs remain significant, especially for Huawei and Tencent, which face restricted access to critical technologies and global markets. Notably, Huawei is accelerating investment in homegrown R&D—advancing its HarmonyOS and smart-city solutions to reduce dependence on foreign technologies. Tencent continues to diversify its revenue streams through its expansive ecosystem, spanning cloud computing to fintech, ensuring sustainable adaptability.

On a micro level, the visits underscored entrepreneurial dynamism. Shenling, founded in 2000 and listed on the Shenzhen ChiNext board, is cementing its leadership in eco-thermal solutions through its new smart manufacturing base in Foshan—driven by low-carbon, digital technologies targeting data centers and energy storage applications.

Ninestar is transforming traditional printing through smart manufacturing and IoT‑enabled devices, shifting from legacy competition with global brands toward tech‑forward growth. XPeng Huitian (AeroHT), Xpeng Motors’ eVTOL arm, is pushing boundaries in mobility innovation—exemplified by its “land aircraft carrier” concept and pilot production facility in Guangdong, placing China at the forefront of advanced electric vertical‑takeoff‑and‑landing vehicle development.

What emerged most clearly was the spirit of resilience: these companies are reframing crisis as opportunity—embracing innovation, expanding into new sectors, and leading transformation in a time of uncertainty. Their counterparts in Hangzhou—such as Deepseek and Nezha II—echo this narrative of tech‑epic entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the delegation visited the renowned He 和 (meaning Harmony) Museum in Foshan, showcasing post‑First World War abstract Impressionist art gifted by the Midea Group family to the city, rounding off a rich cultural experience.

For global businesses, the takeaway is clear: long‑term growth depends on adaptability, innovation, and strategic reinvention. These Chinese enterprises offer a compelling model of transformation in a turbulent geopolitical climate.
