China Entrepreneur Club members visit Singapore in conjunction with 30th diplomatic anniversary between Singapore and China

With strong support of our local partners, the Singapore visit organised by China Entrepreneur Club Green Alliance delegate in conjunction with 30th Anniversary of Sino-Singapore diplomatic relationship was completed successfully.

The six-day programme saw the delegate members visiting Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Wealth Management Institute (WMI), SGX Group, Seviora Group, Fullerton Fund Management, Azalea Investment Management, Pavilion Capital, National Gallery Singapore, UBS, Haidilao etc.

The delegate members gained insights on how ESG is managed and practiced on corporate and fund levels, regional economic policy and outlook, geopolitical risks, Singapore’s strategic positioning as a global wealth management hub, risks and opportunities in globalisation process etc. the visiting programme concluded with an refreshing walk and meditation at the world heritage site the Singapore Botanic Garden.

Founded as a non-profit organisation, CEC is committed to business integrity, mutual support and sustainable social and economic development. The 64 CEC council members collectively generate $751bn annual revenue as of 2019, employ over 2.9mn employees and 54.6mn employees indirectly. Green Alliance comprise of 160 member companies to promote ESG- aligned business.

Notable members include e-commerce mogul Jack Ma (founder of Alibaba), manufacturing giant Liu Chuanzhi (Chairman and CEO of Lenovo), real-estate tycoon Wang Jianlin (CEO and founder of Wanda Group) and pharmaceutical guru Guo Guangchang (founder of Fosun Group). Incorporating China’s ancient Confucius and Tao values, CEC members are also known as Daonong, literally translated as farmers who practice the law of Tao. As part of its staple annual program, CEC feature China Entrepreneur Golf Education, Daonong Gala, Green Company Alliance, GECG cross-border visits and CEC cross-border high-level visit, the latter of which has seen CEC members received by world-known politicians such as Angela Merkel, David Cameron, Tony Abbott and Barack Obama.
